TOT-AL
TOT-AL project, developed by Innovo and SurgiQ with the advice of the University of Piemonte Orientale, aims to develop an innovative digital platform to manage the patients' care pathway from hospitalization to discharge. This initiative seeks to improve healthcare management thorugh supportive health and wellness pathways for individuals.  Innovo will develop a tool for the analysis of the care continuity thanks to the previous knoledge of process mining, while SurgiQ, with experience in artificial intelligence, will take care on optimizing transportation.   Finally, the Alessandria Hospital, as end user, will use the platform to achieve the expected outcomes.    Contact: Elisa Ervas ervas@gruppoinnovo.it

Alise02 project focuses on industrial research and experimental development of a respiratory medical assistance device based on CPAP (Continuos Positive Airway Pressure) therapy with a new strategy of non-invasive closed-loop ventilation.  The lead partner APR will contribute its expertise in manufacturing, flow management and procurement strategies; Phoenix will provide fundamental electronic engineering skills crucial for the development of the electromedical device. DA_DES
The DA_DES project aims to promote and realize the digital and sustainable transition of imaging diagnostics based on instrumental techniques (magnetic resonance, TAC, ultrasound, scintigraphy, etc..) and dedicated probes.  DA_DES involves the collaboration between Bracco Imaging which will handle the scale-up preparation and characterization of contrast agents, as well as the design and development of digital procedures to optimize their usem and CAGE Chemicals that will contribute with innovative and sustainable synthetic approaches to obtain the necessary chemical compounds for their preparation.  The collaboration with three research organizations (UPO, UNiPV, Policlinico San Matteo) will ensure specialized expertise, the solutions identified in the preclinical field can have a rapid application in the clinical field.    Contact: Francesco Blasi  francesco.blasi@bracco.com

The DPLaBs project aims to improve pathological anatomy (AP) by developing innovative technology for  pathologists and healthcare facilities  Aequip guiderà il progetto sviluppando i prodotti STAINS e ASSIST, basati su un approccio proprietario misto denominato MDI - Matchematical driven Intelligence che combina l'intelligenza artificiale con metodi mematico-statistici, per supportare gli anatomopatologi nella routine quotidiana.  Aethia integrerà il sistema in un Laboratory Information System (LIS) utilizzando soluzioni di High Performance Computing.  Il Laboratorio di Genomica della Fondazione Edo ed Elvo Tempia analizzerà i marcatori genetici per una diagnosi più accurata.  Le unità di Anatomia Patologica di Torino e Biella acquisiranno immagini per la Digital Pathology tramite scanner e saranno destinate delle soluzioni sviluppate.    Contact: Massimo Salvi  massimo.salvi@aequip.it

ELEVATOR
The ELEVATOR project aims to address the limitations in upper limbs and hands, which affect daily autonomy and impact the psycho-emotional and social sphere. The project will require the use of less expensive resources, such as webcams, and innovative libraries of body/hand tracking with the aim of promoting a wide and suatainable home spread of exergames, promoting a daily and personalized use to counteract motor-cognitive decline, especially in active ageing.  The collaboration between Synarea, CNR-IEIIT and the end-users of ELEVATOR will focus on researching new software, algorithms, and platforms for body/hand tracking. MEDASSIST
The MEDASSIST project aims to develop a remote a telehealth assistance device using a Head Mounted Display (hmd) with Near-to-Eye (NTE) binocular display. This device will alow healthcare providers to exchange video and vital signs with specialized professionals remotely, enhancing access to care in remote areas or emergency situations. In addition, it will facilitate timely and high-quality medical consultations, reducing costs and optimizing disease management. Overall, significant advancements in healthcare efficiency and quality are anticipated, with reduced wait times and personalized care delivered promptly. The MoPaVIoT project contributes to innovation in digital healthcare by developing an innovative wearable device for tele-monitoring, focusing on vital parameters such as body temperature, oxygen saturation and blood pressure. The company Tecnica Scientifica Service already a manufacturer of CE-marked Medical Devices, will coordinate all project phases, including certification and commercialization. NUTRI.AGE
The NUTRI.AGE project aims to create synergies between companies and academic research to develop solutions for the silver economy and elderly health. It focuses on creating digitally monitored processes and products, with the goal of testing the applicability of probiotic strains associated with bioactive peptides and ''green'' solutions through in vivo trials.  SYNBALANCE specialized in fermentation and probiotic formulation, will collaborate with COSTANTINO & C. PREDIBIO
The PREDIBIO project aims to revolutionize the approach to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases associated with Bipolar Disorder (BD) through advanced omics analyses.  The objective is to identify new biomarkers for the early diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder (BD), enabling timely interventions and non-invasive personalized therapies. The Consorzio Piemontese per la Prevenzione e Repressione del Doping e di Altri Usi Illeciti dei Farmaci (CAD) will lead the project with experience in clinical and biological chemistry with innovative analytical methodologies. The center Villa di Salute - Casa di Cura Neuropsichiatrica Trofarello (ORPEA) will contribute, as an end user, by providing sampling and clinical validation. TEPSIM
The TEPSIM project focuses on optimizing the transarterial embolization (TAE) procedure for the treatment of liver cancer that involves blocking the blood supply to the tumor. The approach aims to effectively plan the embolization procedures using specific 3D virtual models tailored to the patient. The personalized medicine software platform developed by Medics will allow extraction and visualization of 3D models of the liver and intrahepatic vascular structures from medical imaging data. YOGA
The YOGA project aims to create personalized therapies for osteoarthritis by combining in vitro diagnostics and artificial intelligence. It will utilize complex cell cultures in the cartilaginous environment, analyzing inflammatory markers with microfluidic technologies.     The data will be stored in a database for the development of predictive models of therapeutic efficacy. MASTRO
The MASTRO project aims to utilize additive manufacturing with Ti6AI4V (TiAm), which offers good mechanical properties and biocompatibility reducing its toxicity, to create acetabular components for total dual-mobility hip prostheses with reduced risk for the patient, and to address the criticalities of currently used Chromium-Cobalt (CoCr) alloys currently used.  Using the concept of ''patient-matched device'', the goal is to create an adaptable product starting from mass production, with the capability for secondary modifications to ensure optimal adaptation to the patient's anatomy.   The project also includes the development of an automatic patient adaptation algorithm (3AP) for large-scale design, addressing current global regulatory challenges.  MT Ortho S.r.l. leads the project with the support of the University of Messina, Politecnico di Torino and IRCSS Ospedale Galeazzi Sant'Ambrogio.    Contact: Gaetano Sorano info@mtortho.com

ROBO-HOSPITAL
The ROBO-HOSPITAL project aims to develop an integrated robotic system to manage test tubes and biological samples in the healthcare context with particular focus on sample preparation operations post-collection. Key features of the project include precise sample handling, automatic tracking, safe packaging, sanitizing of test tubes and transport containers, as well as advanced connectivity features to integrate laboratory information systems and axchange information related to the biological sample.  This means: increased operational efficiency, sample safety, process transparency and a reduction in non-conformity errors.  Presented by ROBOSAN S.r.l., the project aims to automate and simplify the management and preparation of biological samples, helping to optimize health resources and ensure a more reliable and secure service for all patients.    Contact: Vittorio Trifari  admin@robosan.it

TRINITÀ
The TRINITÀ project aims to develop a new therapeutic and diagnostic agents for the treatment of oncological pathologies with a high need of cures. The collaboration between the two partner Dompé Farmaceutici and ViroStatics, supported by the scientific experience of University of Pavia, will focus on the synthesis, preclinical characterization, and afvancement of the development of innovative drugs, the development of new personalized drug delivery systems, and advanced diagnostic probes using state-of-art digital technologies. DCAre
The DCAre project aims to create a digital platform for the care and assistance of eating disorders, specifically Anorexia Nervosa on patients such as children and adolescents.   Using a therapeutic protocol consisting of Serious Games, the platform aims to address various key symptoms of eating disorders, based on recent studies and scientific evidence that support the effectiveness of such games in the treatment of eating disorders compared to traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy. The effectiveness includes reducing food-related anxiety, altering body experience, improving interaction and social relationship processes and reducing negative emotions.  The project involves two industrial partners, Integrated Solutions and Orbyta Tech, who combine their expertise in the design of complex digital platforms and in the field of cognitive rehabilitation thorugh interactive exercise, together with knowledge of software development, mobile apps and gamification. INDICATIONS
The INDICATIONS project is a consulting service provided by PAsTISs to the company Epygon Italie S.r.l. for the in vitro characterization of fluid dynamics in the left ventricle after implantation of a minimally invasive mitral valve prosteshis, aimed at restoring natural blood flow.  Using Particle Imaging Velocimetry (PIV) on a hydraulic circuit that simulates systemic circulation, the effect of the prosthesis on blood flow velocities and flow characteristics in the ventricle will be assessed.  These experimental tests are crucial for evaluating the effectiveness of the prosthesis in improving ventricular energy and reducing the risks of post-implantation thrombosis.       Contact: Mauro Ferraro  mauro.ferraro@affluentmedical.com

The technology projects have made point-of-care analysis devices possible, but to have a large-scale impact, these devices must integrate into healthcare workflows and comply with clinical guidelines. FIDELIOMED will develop an IoT device for the early diagnosis of anemia and nutritional deficiencies, improving health management and promoting health thorugh accurate diagnosis, timely treatments, and effective monitoring. In gynecology, various conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and ovarian cancer can severaly impact a woman's quality of life. Although ultrasound is the primary diagnostic tools, it requires interpretation by experienced physicians, and 75% of ovarian cancer cases are diagnosed late, with low survivial rates. The Pocus-AI project is the result of a partnership between TESI4MED and Syndiag that combines T4MED expertise in digital logistic and telemedicine with SynDiag's innovative OvAi software for early and accurare diagnosis of ovarian cancer diagnosis. U-Care Medical offers the ''U-Care Infection Platform'' (UCM-IP), an artificial intelligence-based software for managing infections in intensive care.  Currently, treatment is reactive and empirical, causing 49 million infections and 10 million deaths each year, with healthcare costs of over 10 billion euros. REMEDIO
REMEDIO designs nanomedicine-based inhalation therapies for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and interstitial lung disease associated with systemic sclerosis (SSc-ILD), with the goal of improving efficacy and reducing side effects compared to current oral therapies.
