A journey into the world of space missions from their conception to their realisation

Obective

To provide an overview of the space environment and the different steps required to plan and develop a space mission, through to its realisation, including astronautics hints necessary to choose the launch vehicle and flight orbit. The space environment will also be presented as a test laboratory and a place for technological development. Lectures will be accompanied by practical examples of past missions, in flight or under development.

The course is designed as part of the "Lifelong Learning Initiatives" offer catalogue of the PNRR Ecosystem of Innovation Project "NODES - Nord Ovest Digitale e Sostenibile". Course topics cover a broad spectrum of topics related to space and space exploration, the characteristic themes of Spoke 1, with the aim of enhancing interaction between the worlds of research and industry.
